Zeolites are minerals created through the reaction between volcanic ash and seawater. Their unique structure forms a three-dimensional crystalline “honeycomb” structure, with open pores or channels. Notably, they are one of the few naturally occurring negatively charged minerals. There are over 40 types of natural zeolites, alongside around 150 synthetic varieties currently in use. The zeolite we use is natural Clinoptilolite.
